  • Chennel Anderson

    Chennel Anderson

    Chennel Anderson (she/her) is the head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the University of Rochester’s Psychiatry Department. She is an educator and Theatre for Healthcare Equity facilitator.

  • Shea Beiter

    Shea Beiter

    Shea Beiter (he/they) is a Registered Nurse in an adult Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at New York University Langone Hospital. In his role as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Representative for Perioperative Services at the University of Rochester Medical Center, he expanded initiatives in clinical education and mentorship at the department level. They also served as the Staff Co-chair on the Cultural Inclusion Council, a sub-committee of the Professional Nursing Council, were a member of the Nursing DEI Advisory Board, and a member of THRIVE, which focuses on care of transgender patients. The heart of his work is in improving care for transgender patients through clinical education and operations improvements.

  • Carli Gaughf

    Carli Gaughf

    Carli Gaughf (she/they) is the creator of Theater for Healthcare Equity, an adaptation of Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed. She currently leads anti-racist workshops at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the Office of Equity and Inclusion. She continues to train medical and theatre professionals to facilitate Theater for Healthcare Equity workshops at institutions such as the University of Texas at El Paso and Brown University.

  • Rebecca Kenigsberg

    Rebecca Kenigsberg

    Rebecca Kenigsberg (she/her) is a director, educator and Theater of the Oppressed Practitioner. Her work is rooted in the belief that theater fosters not only personal change, but also collective transformation. As an artist, she creates performances that invite the audience to reimagine humanity, and question their impact, and so they, in turn, are inspired to change our world. As an educator, she supports students as they engage with their individual stories and harness their power as change agents. Her work has been seen on stages throughout Los Angeles and New York, and currently is a core member of "We The Liberated People's Theater Troupe" in the Debt Collective where she has led Legislative Theater Workshops in front of the White House in support of student debt cancellation. In addition, she has utilized Theater of the Oppressed methodologies to teach Equity and Inclusion with Theater for Healthcare Equity at The University of Texas, El Paso, and to open the conversations around romantic partnership abuse and immigration that toured around New York City including the Brazilian Consulate. She trained extensively with Geo Britto at the Centro de Teatro do Oprimido in Rio de Janeiro, and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theater from UCLA, a Master's in Arts and Public Policy from NYU and is about to embark in a doctorate in Educational Theater in Colleges and Communities at NYU.
